Phases of the Program
The four-week residential program is based on a five days per week model. It is broken into two blocks of two weeks and separated by a two week break. The program includes six hours of treatment per day.
We also operate a Day Program for those who live locally. It is based on the same daily and weekly format.

- Intake Assessment
After an initial screening with the referring source and the prospective participant, a decision is made as to whether or not the applicant will enter the program. After admission, an intake assessment is focused on the confirmation of readiness for the program, establishing measurable goals in terms of symptoms and function, and developing a treatment plan. For those who will be making an attempt to return to work, the goal setting focus will also be on reducing restrictions and limitations which serve as barriers to re-employment. - Treatment Implementation
As trust can be an issue for participants, the first few days focuses on trust development among participants and staff. This period also includes implementation of treatment strategies and an introduction to the educational components. - Intensive Treatment
During the second week the focus shifts to more concentrated group and individual treatment. - Two Week At-Home Break
Participants begin to implement and practice skills learned in the program and refine treatment goals for the remainder of the program. They will have one telephone session with their counsellor. - Last Two Week Block
Intensive treatment continues. The last aspect of the program involves evaluation of progress and preparation for transition to home. Family members attend a family education session and discharge conference if possible in order to make plans to support the participant in a successful transition.
A discharge report will address outcome success, transition plans for treatment, and/or return to work recommendations. In addition it will also provide recommendations for other follow up support if required.
